BIOGRAPHY:
Mr. Howard has broad subrogation, defense, and first party experience. In addition to trial skills developed over more than two decades of technical litigation and first party disputes, he possesses wide knowledge regarding issues surrounding recovery of real and personal property, business interruption, extra expense, and other losses incurred as a result of covered events. He is the principal brief author and argument counsel in numerous reported state and federal appellate cases.

He is a keen insurance policy analyst, often reviewing the coverage opinions of prior counsel, and he provides recommendations regarding coverage and interpretation on manuscript policies as well as standard policies on all issues arising under them. Some of the areas of his recent emphasis have included mold, pollution, and collapse cases. In addition, he has done substantial work addressing the interrelationship of insurance contracts and construction contracts relating to defending and overcoming contractual releases, damage limitations, and implied and express waivers of subrogation.

In addition, he is frequently admitted pro hac vice across the country to protect client interests.
